Module description

This course develops a detailed and critical understanding of theoretical and interpretative perspectives in archaeology, the way these relate to fieldwork and the current organisation of British archaeology. This part of the module will explore the intrinsic theoretical character of archaeological practice with reference to a wide range of examples drawn from prehistoric and historic archaeology and ethnoarchaeology.
