Module description

You will evaluate the relations between Turkey and Greece in the post-imperial era within three relevant contexts. First, we study the internal history and development trajectories of each country, both individually and comparatively. Second, we examine Turkey and Greece within the context of their bi-lateral diplomatic, political, economic and cultural relations. Finally we assess both countries from the standpoint of their individual place within the international community and their participation in the post WWII era in global military alliances such as NATO. We also consider the economic and political ties of both countries with Europe and the wider world.
