Module description

We shall take as a starting point the fundamental question 'is historical authenticity in performance attainable, or even desirable?' and then proceed to a series of case-studies, examining specific works in terms of the instruments required, notations, tempo, dynamics, ornamentation and the interpretation of rhythm.
