Module description

An introduction to; the system of mensural notation that was used in Renaissance polyphony and formed the basis of the notation of vocal and instrumental music until the eighteenth century; the nature of manuscript and printed sources of Renaissance and Baroque music; the techniques and transcribing and editing the musical and verbal texts of this repertory. Explanatory classes, with exercises week by week.
