Module description

An examination of the issues surrounding the stylistically correct performance of music c. 1760 to 1940. Both written and recorded sources will be studied in order to chart the evolution of performance styles, and compare them with that of the present day.

Seminars. Examined by two assessed essays or two performances and shorter essays.
