Module description

This course will study a range of films and novels about violence in Spain. The key aim of the course is to assess how `personal¿ violence (e.g. domestic aggression against women, fraud, workplace harassment, murder, involvement in terrorist acts) can be read as symptomatic of a wider, structural ¿ political and economic ¿ violence that underpins many societies.

Teaching and learning methods

Some use of lecture-style presentations by the tutor, but mainly student-led EBL-based seminars and presentations.
