Module description

This module will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding, critically appraising, applying and conducting research.

The module will develop learning around three core areas:

  • Research methods and methodologies

  • The political context of research

  • The application of research

The module will enable students to develop specific skills relating to social research and the integration of these within a framework of social work values and research ethics and quality.
