Module description

This module is designed to go beyond first principles and critically examine the contribution that economists can make to issues of resource allocation in the health care sector. It covers a range of issues, which can be followed up in greater detail in assignments and option modules. The course covers issue including Bayesian methods and value of information analysis, supplier-induced demand in health care, equity issues in economic analyses, and the interface between health economics and health policy.
