Module description

Decentralised to sub-national levels of government has been a major theme in developed, developing and transitional states over the last decade or so. This module is concerned with how sub-national levels of government - whether at the regional/state/province level or at the local/municpal level - raise money, and how they spend it. This includes analysis of local revenue sources, the management of local finances and central-local financial relationships.
