Module description

This module involves a detailed but not unlimited investigation of developmental issues. A wide range of support will be provided to the students via personal supervision, dissertation workshops and peer-review exercises in addition to their own individual reading and supervision preparation. The investigation's findings will be presented in an extended form of essay with argumentation and scholarly apparatus, allowing the identity and value of the sources and the quality and structure of the argument to be clearly understood by the reader. This module is to provide an opportunity for students to apply the content of the modules they have followed to issues of interest to themselves and capable of being supervised by a member of IDD staff. The choice of topic will be vey much down to the individual student.
