Module description

This module will explore the theoretical concepts and practice of community leadership. Particular attention will be paid to issues of community capacity building and empowerment and community, voluntary and statutory relationships. The module will also examine the task and process of leading in partnership with other stakeholders in order to achieve effective outcomes for individuals, communities and citizens. The module will be set in the context of current social care policy for both adults and children's services and social inclusion. A whole systems approach to social care leadership will be critically analysed.
