Module description

The module introduces bio-compatibility, bio-materials and their applications. Examples will be chosen of metals, ceramics composites and polymers in biomaterial applications. Mechanical and physical properties will be described that are used in specific applications such as hip prostheses, dental applications, blood bags, hip protectors, endoscopes, fixation devices, surgical devices and seating/beds.
