Get involved

As well as an interactive trail, we will be hosting an array of family events and much more to keep little cubs entertained this summer! All our events are free, so why not come and discover all the University has to offer.

Free Family Fun

Teddy Bear Hospital

Professor Bee Kind would like to invite you to visit the Medical School to meet members of the Medical Society’s Teddy Bear Hospital team, and take part in free activities like ‘what’s in a doctor’s bag?’ and ‘what is surgery?’ We would love to meet your own teddy bear so why not bring them along for their very own check-up? The Hospital will be open on Friday 18 August. Find out more information.

Arty Bear Hunt

Join our Research and Cultural Collections team on Thursday 31 August as you use your super-sleuthing skills to find our Big Sleuth Bears and some beautiful art on campus. We will talk to your little bear cubs about what inspired these artists to make these bears and artworks, before we head to the Rotunda Gallery to make our own masterpieces! Register your free place now.

Visit our Campus

Did you know we are home to some of Birmingham’s finest cultural assets? All within a 15 minute walk from University Station, the campus is teeming with historical, scientific and cultural wonders; many of which are free to enter, every day of the week. Take your teddy bear on a tour of campus to meet Roary our Allosaurus at the Lapworth Museum of Geology, play in the Children’s Garden at Winterbourne House and Garden, or join a family workshop at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts. You won’t be disappointed at what you uncover. You can find all these attractions on our interactive trail map.

Be inspired, entertained and expand your knowledge; visit campus.
