Foolish Wits, the Shakespeare student society, will be bringing some of his most well-known characters to life through costume and make-up.
While seeing the characters develop, hear how Shakespearean actors would have adapted their appearances for some roles with rather ambitious descriptions, like Richard III’s hunchback and withered arm or Caliban’s half-man, half sea-monster description.
Compare these techniques to how modern productions, with more sophisticated techniques, have chosen to represent the same characters.
