UOB is a great, highly-ranked University and it has an advanced and well-equipped department in Mechanical Engineering.

Studying Mechanical Engineering at University of Birmingham strengthened my teamwork skills, which is so important in real business and engineering projects. It also taught me the importance of paying attention to details, in design for instance, no matter if it is a single part or an industrial project.

What is the best thing about the job you are doing now?
Being involved in shaping the future! Designing novel ideas, and managing the projects till they are fully built and operational. This job is related to my course, and requires continuous research on the subject.

Why did you originally apply to do your chosen course at Birmingham?
Because UOB is a great, highly-ranked University, and it has an advanced and well-equipped department in Mechanical Engineering.

What did you think were the best points of your course and the University?
Building teamwork skills within team based projects, and the variety of professional projects. 

What advice would you give to current students studying on the course?
Take teamwork seriously, as that’s the beginning of their professional social life.

How did you grow as a person by studying at University? Did it change your life in any way?
Yes it did. Studying at UOB not only helped me to become an engineer, but also gave me the vision and discipline of a British engineer.
