This iPhone and iPod touch app is an interactive map of the University of Birmingham’s main campus. You can use the touch screen to locate buildings, and to find out more about some of the University’s facilities and academic schools. It is presented by the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
You can use our audio guide to create your own tour of the campus, with information on the nine schools that make up the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, plus some of the key places our students use every day. How to use the University of Birmingham Campus app
This app was created by the University of Birmingham’s College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, to provide a guide to the campus and information about the academic Schools within the College.

'Map' tab
The map tab takes you to an interactive map of the University of Birmingham’s main campus. Touch the screen to navigate, or zoom in or out by pinching or pulling apart your fingers. Tapping on any building will take you to a screen with the building’s name. Points of interest with additional information have an i icon on the map.
While you are on campus, tap the Locate me button to display a pin on the map that shows your current location. In order for this feature to work, you will need to have access to your 3G network with your iPhone, or be in range of a WiFi network with either your iPhone or iPod touch.
'About' tab
Here you can find information about the University, and the nine Schools that make up the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. There are also links to travel directions and our online undergraduate and postgraduate course finders.
'Audio' tab
The audio tab takes you to audio content for a 30-minute campus tour. The tour is divided into stops, including The College of Engineering and Physical Science’s key sites as well as just some of the facilities available to students and staff.
'Directory' tab
The directory provides information on key campus facilities and the nine Schools of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Each selection takes you to a profile screen where you can tap to call, pin-point the location on campus, or access more information online.
'More' tab
The more tab provides access to an image gallery and videos of the University of Birmingham, as well as the University’s official news feed.
