What are your career experiences since graduating from the University of Birmingham?

I did my PGCE at the University of Birmingham. I then worked for six years at a school in the Midlands, and I am now in my fourth year at a school in London.

What is the best thing about what you are doing now?

I love watching students develop not just in terms of their knowledge and understanding of the subject I teach, but also their personalities.

What was the best thing about your time as a student here?

It was only a small cohort doing the course, so I never felt lost in a crowd, and always had individual support when I needed it.

What advice would you give to current students studying on your degree programme?

I still use the skills I learned whilst studying on this course, make the most of every activity and assignment set.

How did you grow as a person by coming to University?  Did it change your life in any way?

I became much more confident and self sufficient, and studying here changed my views on what I wanted to do in the long term.
