The College of Medical and Dental Sciences is proud to host Robert Kyle M.D. of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. During his time in the UK, Professor Kyle will present two lectures:
Monoclonal Gammopathy and Smouldering Multiple Myeloma - Tuesday 8 July 2014 at 5.00 pm
Current Management of Multiple Myeloma - Thursday 10 July 2014 at 1.00 pm
Both lectures will be held in the Leonard Deacon Lecture Theatre, Medical School Building
Robert Kyle is one of the world’s leading pioneers in the field of plasma cell malignancy. He has played a major role in the development of the Mayo Clinic as a global centre of excellence within Haematology. Professor Kyle is a leading authority on monoclonal gammapathy, a condition that precedes almost every case of multiple myeloma.
In his first lecture, on Tuesday 8th July, Professor Kyle will review work that has defined determinants of disease pathogenesis and clinical progression.
His second lecture, on Thursday 10th July, Professor Kyle will address some of the exciting recent developments in the treatment of multiple myeloma.
