Reflections on UK Africa relations

On Friday 21 November from 15:00-17:30 the International Development Department will be hosting a presentation, Q&A and reception with Mark Simmonds MP, former UK Africa Minister (2012-14). The event is titled 'Reflections on UK Africa relations', covering Mark's time in office as well as his thoughts on the future of UK Africa relations in arenas including development, security and trade. The event is being organised by the BISA Africa and International Studies Working Group, of which I am co-convenor, as part of a series of events around the UK during 2014 on 'Britain and Africa after 50.'
