The Major Gifts team encourages individuals and alumni to support the university’s work. Income is also raised by applying to charitable trusts and foundations, and through alumni friends who leave legacies to the university.
Giving thanks to the generosity of donors is a vital part of the section’s remit, and the team runs a full stewardship programme. Donors are acknowledged in a variety of different ways, including giving clubs, drinks receptions and by an annual Roll of Honour.
