The Network Team manages the Campus Network throughout the University, encompassing the ‘wired network’, the wireless network (one of the UK’s largest in higher education), and the links to the regional network through which SuperJANET5 (UK higher education’s shared high speed network) and the Internet are accessed.
The campus network is a core underpinning infrastructure, critical to many services and a key enabler for the strategic goals of the University whether in learning, research or administration.
In addition, the Team is also responsible for Identity Management, Directory Services, Authentication Services, and the Exchange Email Service.
