The Quality section is the focal point for students, researchers and staff to obtain help and technical advice about the services and facilities provided by IT Services. The team consists of operational, development and administrative staff who support your use of IT throughout your relationship with the University to enhance your academic experience.
Our IT Service Desk provides comprehensive IT support to all University students, researchers, staff, prospective students and employees. It is the first point of contact for information about IT services: answering your questions, providing help and access to additional services, and dealing with your computing system faults.
IT Service Desk also runs a dedicated “web registration” helpline at the start of each academic year to support students registering for courses via the web.
We also offer a FixIT service in conjunction with the Guild of Students for students, staff and visitors to obtain help with their own PCs, laptops and mobile devices. IT Services runs a free laptop clinic for students, diagnosing and repairing software problems, alongside the Guild’s chargeable services for hardware repairs and print / photocopying / binding.
