The Planning Office supports strategic and operational planning across the University. We do this by providing a range of information, support and advice, including provision of business intelligence, monitoring and assessing the institution’s performance and coordinating the planning process.
The Planning Office is made up of three teams:
Academic Planning, which supports Colleges to achieve their academic goals consistent with University strategy, provides professional support to academic reviews and supports the provision and monitoring of College Compacts.
Business Intelligence, which undertakes development and implementation of the University’s business intelligence strategy, develops the university Key Performance Indicators, and provides and coordinates external information about current and potential opportunities and threats to inform decision-making.
Information Analysis and Reporting, which develops systems of forecasting and modelling (particularly student numbers, fees, and research income), provides internal management information (including the University Statistical Profile), and is responsible for a range of statutory returns to government agencies such as HEFCE, HESA, OFFA and the TDA.
