The Registrar and Secretary, Mr Lee Sanders, leads the University’s Professional Services. In other sectors the nearest equivalent is the Chief Operating Officer. He is a member of the University Executive Board and is involved in University strategy and policy and providing advice to the Vice-Chancellor and other senior colleagues. As Secretary to the Senate and Council, he is responsible for University governance.
The Registrar and Secretary’s Office supports these activities. The Assistant Secretary works with the Registrar to support university governance, and the Assistant Registrar (Executive Support) works closely with the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar on strategic projects.
The Registrar and Secretary’s Office is co-located with the Vice-Chancellor’s Office and works closely with the Vice-Chancellor and his team.
