Sport and Fitness

Sport & Fitness is an iconic new club providing world-class opportunities for everyone in the region, from beginner to elite athlete. Located on the Bristol Road, just outside of Birmingham City Centre and on the edge of the University of Birmingham’s Edgbaston campus, Sport & Fitness will offer an unrivalled fitness experience.

Accommodation  

The University of Birmingham has two hotels on campus, providing convenient, comfortable bed-and-breakfast accommodation for event attendees, visitors, family and friends.

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference offers contemporary luxury, with modern bedrooms and two period buildings offering characterful alternatives. Lucas House Hotel provides a budget-friendly alternative, and two serviced apartments ideal for longer stays.

Day nurseries

The University provides Ofsted-registered high-quality childcare at three day nurseries, on or close to campus. The Maples, The Elms and The Oaks offer unique outdoor experiences in Forest Schools, peaceful home-from-home settings, and qualified staff who care for your whole family. Places are available for children from 6 weeks to 4 years. Staff and students receive a special discounted rate.

Library services

Members of the local community are welcome to come and use our extensive library. Housing some 2.7million books in total, along with a wealth of journals and other printed sources, we are confident we will be able to help you find the information you are looking for. You are entitled to 10 visits in a 12 month period for free, or you can opt to pay for membership and enjoy unlimited access.
