Information for potential Sixth Form students

Students talking on the grass

At the University Sixth Form the focus will be on preparing you for entrance into selective universities. The academic programme will be rigorous, and you will be advised to pursue the options that are right for you.

You will be able to take advantage of a wide range of academic subjects. Sixth Formers will pursue A-level study and due the Sixth Form's goal of preparing you for selective universities, we will not offer vocational alternatives.

During admissions we will take into account your GCSE performance to ensure that you will able to handle the rigorous academic programme. Your teachers will be of the highest calibre, with Master’s degrees or higher qualifications, and they will be skilled at delivering the type of enquiry-based learning designed to prepare you for rigorous study at university level.

Sixth Formers will interact regularly with University staff and have access to some University facilities. There will be a focus on personal growth, with strong discipline, an emphasis on character-building, personalised careers and academic advice, and outstanding support for you as an individual.
