The Web Action Group (WAG) roles as written in the website governance are:

Implementing the Web Strategy by allocating developer time and suggesting areas of priority for website developments to the Web Steering Group.

Making decisions regarding whether sites should be built within the birmingham.ac.uk domain and approves external suppliers where appropriate.

Ensuring clear steer for streams of activity surrounding the website by allocating work and providing platform for common understanding of tone of voice, style guidelines and audiences for the site.

Informing strategy/action plan for web through knowledge of site and ‘online climate’.

Actioning outcomes of development/design suggestions from the Web Editors Forum.

First line of problem resolving from issues raised by members of Web Editors Forum.

Being able to solve issues it feels capable of resolving without further reference to WSG. Issues can be resolved either at next meeting or prior to meeting by communication between the group.
