Launching a new version of a website will inevitably mean that the site takes a dip in the Google rankings briefly. Experience from the corporate site launch is that this recovered in just a few days.
An important job to do once your site is launched is to get all the links to it updated to the new address as Google much prefers direct links over redirects. To find out which web links need updating you can use the Google analytics for your old site > Traffic sources > Referring sites
Picking off a couple of referring links each day and notifying the site owners of the new web address will help boost your search engine ranking.
