Professor Sandy Florence will deliver a lecture titled: The impact of pharmaceutical science on patient care
Alexander (Sandy) Florence was Dean of The School of Pharmacy, London (1989 - 2006) a post combined with research in drug delivery. Earlier he was Professor of Pharmaceutics at Strathclyde University. Before IJP, he was founding co-editor with Vincent Lee of the Journal of Drug Targeting. Author of more than 320 papers and chapters, he has co-authored with David Attwood five editions of “Physicochemical Principles of Pharmacy” and other texts. Has received awards such as the GSK International Achievement award, the Høst-Madsen award from FIP and the Scheele Prize of the Swedish Academy of Sciences. He is a former President of CRS.
