Adapting to university life
Adapting to a new way of learning and for some their first taste of life away from home can leave new students feeling overwhelmed. As a parent, you may be concerned about your son or daughter when they start university.
There are several ways for students to prepare for university. Getting involved in university life is a great way for them to settle in and find the peer support they need. They can think ahead of time about the study and employment skills that university can help them develop. And, of course, they can find out what's available on campus and in the surrounding area.
The University also offers a very wide range of support to its students, which you could make your son or daughter aware of.
