The Foundation Pathways prospectus provides a comprehensive guide to the course options at Birmingham.

The BIA regularly organises webinars for overseas representatives, which will introduce courses, describe application processes and outline what students can expect from life in Birmingham.

The International Students Advisory Service

The International Students Advisory Service (ISAS) provides support and advice for prospective and current international students at the University.

Stay in contact with ISAS for the latest information on UK or university policies or guidelines for international students.


The Birmingham International Academy offers a number of generous scholarships to prospective Foundation students.

BIA Academic Merit Scholarships: £3,000 scholarships open to all students who meet the criteria listed in the ‘who can apply’ section below.

BIA Pathway Scholarships: £10,000 scholarships for eligible students applying to the Engineering and Physical Sciences and Medical, Life and Geo Sciences pathways.
