Student societies

Many nationality groups form student societies during their time at the University of Birmingham. This is an excellent way to keep in contact with home and also provides an opportunity to highlight your culture and customs in the UK.

Student societies are also a useful point of contact for prospective students to Birmingham who may want to contact current students for information.

For a full list of student societies please visit the Birmingham Guild of Students website.

What our students have to say...

Hafsa Hasin, MSc Development Economics, 2012/13
"I had been to Birmingham once before attending my masters program. The first time I just saw a little bit of the University but when I started my classes I was mesmerised by the beauty of the University and was amazed by what it had to offer.

The best thing about Birmingham was that it catered for all kinds of needs and has lots of different people. In addition, the transport connections are fantastic and everything is at arms length. As a student that is very convenient. In addition, the staff and the professors are extremely helpful, so I never felt lost. All in all, there has not been a single dull moment in my experience at Birmingham, and I would go back any day."
