Study Abroad Pre Departure Week 23-27 April 2018

To help prepare you for your Study and/or Work Abroad Experience, we have a week of activities and events for you! Information and details on how to register below:

1. Compulsory Study Abroad Pre Departure Briefings

You are required to attend one of these compulsory briefings which will also include short talks from university experts on Insurance, Student Support, Finance and Visas.

All sessions below run 10.00 to 13.00.

2. Informal Networking Sessions

We have two Pre Departure Networking events for Erasmus and International exchanges, where you will have the opportunity to meet UoB students who were abroad last year, and some of our incoming students currently with us on exchange. We also have an Equality and Diversity Workshop led by students who studied abroad last year. There will be tea, biscuits and chat!

3. Specialist Talks from Professional Services

As well as the talks mentioned above within the compulsory briefings, there will also be optional talks from the Careers Network on Cultural Awareness and Study Abroad workshops on Erasmus paperwork completion.

4. Departmental Led Talks

Your own academic School may also be running Pre Departure sessions specific to your course, and we will add that information in here as and when your Exchange Tutors let us know.

5. Live Skype with selected exchange partners

There will be some bespoke live Skype calls for students with selected exchange partners - details to follow below, you will be informed if this relates to your exchange destination!
