Looking for part time work during your time at the University of Birmingham? Then join the DARO office and work alongside your studies as a Student Fundraiser.
The University’s Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO) raises money for charitable projects across the University – with the majority of donations coming from graduates. Thanks to this support, we have been able to transform campus, support under-represented students and fund ground-breaking research that will change the lives of people around the world. Last year the student calling team raised an impressive £621,067.
As a student fundraiser you will speak to our graduates to show them the difference they can make by supporting students. The job involves having telephone conversations with graduates of the University about their time at Birmingham and career to date, plus seeking gifts of time and money for amazing projects on campus.
Previous fundraising experience is not required as you will be fully trained. Once you’ve started your role, you’ll be supported by DARO staff and Call Room Supervisors who will provide practical tips to ensure that you achieve success.
