Alumni Day 2019

Our Alumni Reunion Day takes place this year in June to celebrate the official opening of the Green Heart, our new landscaped parkland in the heart of campus.

We are delighted to invite you back to Birmingham on Saturday 8 June to join in our special alumni celebrations at the Green Heart Festival.

Every year, our campus comes alive with alumni, friends and families returning to the University of Birmingham. The day will be an opportunity to meet up with your former classmates, to explore the campus and see what has changed and what has stayed the same since your time here.

Tickets are now on sale on our website. The last day to book your £40 lunch ticket is Sunday 26 May. Don't delay - book your ticket now!

Highlights will include:

  • Tours of your old department where you can meet and chat to current students and staff
  • Meet our researchers and get hands-on with demonstrations of cutting edge science
  • Time to relax and reconnect with friends in the exclusive Alumni Lounge with complimentary all-day refreshments
  • A delicious two-course celebration lunch in Staff House, with wine and soft drinks
  • Access to some of the fantastic buildings and attractions on campus, both old and new
  • Pop-up outdoor music and drama performances
  • Sporting workshops and activities to try including zumba, yoga and pilates classes. Check out the Alumni Sports Day programme for games and demonstrations at the Sports and Fitness Centre
  • Stay on in the evening to watch the Proms live on stage in the spectacular Green Heart outdoor amphitheatre. The Proms will be introduced by Professor of Public Engagement Alice Roberts.

If you prefer a more casual lunch, University food outlets will be open all day, you can indulge in treats available at the Farmer's Market, or bring your own picnic.
