On Tuesday 1st February, the University of Birmingham held an informal reception for alumni living or working in Delhi, India, to meet and network with a group of current University staff and students visiting the city. The visit was part of an international collaboration between the Universities of Birmingham, Delhi and Melbourne, Australia, under the Universitas 21 framework. The 7 current Masters students spent a week in Delhi studying ‘Security in a Globalised World’ with students from Melbourne and Delhi. They were accompanied by Dr Edward Newman, Deputy Head of the Political Science and International Studies Department, and Dr Danielle Beswick, Lecturer in the International Development Department. The students attending had all benefitted from bursaries made possible by the University of Birmingham Annual Giving Programme, and very much enjoyed the opportunity to meet and network with alumni.
