Little Lapel Pins Make Big Statement
Donor Pin Week 20th - 24th September 2010
An innovative fundraising initiative that provides lapel pins to leading donors is catching on at a growing number of universities in the United Kingdom including at the University of Birmingham.
In late September, our leading and most loyal donors will be asked to wear their University donor pin as part of Donor Pin Week, an annual initiative designed to inspire and recognise key supporters. The University is one of eleven UK universities that have distributed thousands of special lapel pins to top donors and prospects.
"Donor pin programs celebrate giving to universities, encourage more donors and increase donations by creating a highly visual and personal connection to institutions," says Kate Hunter, executive director of CASE Europe. "The public campaign will help raise the profile of higher education philanthropy."
The 11 institutions that participate in Donor Pin Week are:
- Brunel University
- Imperial College, University of London
- University of Bath
- University of Brighton
- University of Birmingham
- University of Bristol
- University of Gloucestershire
- University of Liverpool
- University of Reading
- University of Sheffield
- University of Warwick
Pin badges have been sent to those in our giving clubs and our most loyal supporters.
