Alumnae amongst the most powerful women in the UK

Cilla Snowball CBE, joins HM the Queen and Victoria Beckham in Woman's Hour Top 100 Powerful Women in the UK.

Two of our outstanding alumni have been named in BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour Top 100 Powerful Women in the UK Today list, the first of its kind. Cilla Snowball CBE (BA French, 1981) and Jude Kelly OBE (BA Drama and Theatre Arts, 1975) join HM The Queen, JK Rowling OBE and Victoria Beckham in the list of powerful, intellectual and inspirational women as voted for by the public and chosen by a panel.

Cilla Snowball CBE is Group Chairman and Group Chief Executive of the advertising and communications company, Abbott Mead Vickers (AMV). She was awarded the CBE for services to the advertising industry in January 2009 and was ranked by the Guardian in 2010 as the 50th most influential person in the media sector. Cilla is currently an Alumni Leadership Mentor at the University. 

Jude Kelly OBE is Artistic Director at the Southbank Centre, London and was Chair of Culture, Ceremonies, and Education at London 2012. Jude was responsible for developing the culture, arts and education strands of London's bid for the Olympics. An award-winning director, Jude was awarded the OBE in 1997 for her services to theatre.
