The University is committed to encouraging students from local schools to learn more about their higher education options, as well as understanding what benefits a university education can offer.
Our Student Recruitment and Outreach team work closely with local schools to support students through the application process and prepare them for University study in the hope that they will become the next generation of great local citizens, and follow in the steps of our founders and alumni.
Our team works with schools and colleges throughout the region supporting both teachers and students. Each year we recruit close to 200 students who, without the intervention of this team, may never have considered a university education. Find out more about our work with local schools.
