Our Catering Charter

At the University of Birmingham we understand and respect that you may have specific dietary needs. We label our food options clearly, and train our staff to be aware. Please ask a staff member if you need more information. You can view our Catering Charter (PDF - 294Kb) to find out more about how the University upholds its commitment to providing students, staff and visitors with high-quality food and drink, produced with sustainability in mind.

Changes for 2020

We’ve made lots of changes to make sure you can enjoy food and drink on campus safely.

You’ll find signs everywhere, from one-way queuing and social distancing to where you should wear a face covering. Please help the whole community stay safe by following this guidance. A Catering Ambassador will be at the entrance of every outlet, to answer questions and help keep things moving.

Track and trace systems are in place if you choose to dine in, or are in an outlet for over 15 minutes. Please follow the instructions.

Some of our cafes and restaurants are temporarily closed. We’ll open them when it’s safe to do so.
