Abstract

Climate Change and Sustainable Development has been a major issue for Economies around the world. This masterclass will present the game theoretic tools economists use in order to analyze and tackle policy issues related to climate change.

Meet the Experts

Dr Nikolaos Fatouros, Assistant Professor in Economics

Nikos Fatouros is an Assistant Professor in Economics, at the University of Birmingham. His research focuses on Economic Growth, Environmental policy, and Natural Disasters. 

Dr Sheikh Salim, Head of Education Programme Director of BSc Economics and BSc Money, Banking and Finance and Senior Lecturer in Economics

Sheikh Selim is a Senior Lecturer in Economics and Programme Director for BSc Economics and BSc Money Banking Finance.

He previously led the BSc Business Economics programme in the University of Westminster where he held the position of  Senior Lecturer of Economics. He served as a visiting professor of Political Economy in the New College of Humanities, and as a Lecturer of Economics in Cardiff University. He has published scholarly articles in high impact journals such as Economic Modelling, Agricultural Economics, Journal of Business and Policy Research, Applied Economics and Economics Bulletin.
