Engineering Laboratories

Engineering laboratories are a key part of the University of Birmingham Dubai Engineering degree. Developed through decades of world-class engineering education, they are designed to promote and enhance “enquiry based learning” and student experience by facilitating a practical, hands on approach. 
This approach will consolidate your learning, build your knowledge of the design process and develop the practical engineering skills required by industry and universities for those who wish to pursue postgraduate education. In addition to the practical elements of lab sessions, you will also develop other important technical skills such as experimental documenting and report writing.

Integrated Design Project

A unique suite of modules we offer called the integrated design project, provide an excellent opportunity for you to use the advanced equipment and lab facilities to work in groups on a large engineering project with industry input. Running across all years of the course, this will be a challenging but inspiring and rewarding part of your studies.
