A day in my life

I usually get to university around 9:50 and head straight to my 10:00 class, saying hi to friends along the way. After 12:00, I have an hour break where I catch up with friends and sit in the main sitting area. Sometimes we step outside to enjoy the DIAC park with the amazing weather.

After my next class from 13:00 -15:00, I head to meet up with my friends, where we chill on campus for a little bit, or go out together. Then I head home and either go to the gym or play basketball. After that, I study, shower, eat and then get ready for bed.

Why Birmingham Dubai?

Due to growing up in Dubai, it was like home to me, and I wanted to stay nearby. Furthermore, the fact that the University was a top 100 University in the world really influenced my decision to join. Looking at the campus on a campus tour also caught my eye, as well as the diversity on the campus.

I chose to study in Dubai because I was schooled here and know the city well. Dubai is a beautiful city with so many different things you can do. From the warm deserts and beaches, to even skiing at Ski Dubai. There’s every activity you can think of, plus many opportunities around the city and the country.

Why I chose to study Biomedical Science at Birmingham Dubai

I chose Biomedical Science because I had a passion for biology since childhood. With this course, I can help people using the skills I learn and make a positive impact on the world.

My Birmingham Dubai experience

My student experience has been really good. There are many people to connect with and lots of activities on campus. I’ve joined societies such as the Rugby Club, which gives me some fun downtime.

On campus, I’ve attended events like National Day, Global Day, Christmas events, and more, all of which were great experiences.

Outside of university, there’s always something to do, including going out with friends for food and drinks, or activities like go‑karting and playing sports.

Advice for students

The main advice I would say is utilise your time wisely. Not only the connections and friends you make, but also the time you have available to study for your exams and course.
