A day in my life
A typical day as a second-year MA Education Learning and Teaching student at the University of Birmingham Dubai is full of positive moments, with a wonderful blend of study, research, and reflection.
I love starting my day by reviewing readings or getting ready for seminars on interesting topics like curriculum design or educational research. The classes are lively and engaging, connecting theory with real teaching experiences, which I really enjoy.
During breaks, I work on assignments or my dissertation, and I often get the chance to meet with my supervisor or participate in workshops.
Why Birmingham Dubai?
I applied to many universities, but once I visited the University of Birmingham Dubai campus, I made up my mind. I loved every inch of the campus, from the atmosphere to the open spaces, and the welcoming environment. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, which made a strong impression on me.
I attended an Open Day in the summer before starting my studies, and it helped confirm my decision. I already live in the UAE, so studying here was a natural and convenient choice.
Why I chose to study Education at Birmingham Dubai
I’ve been a teacher in the UAE since 2008, and pursuing the MA in Learning and Teaching felt like a vital next step in my professional journey. The programme supports my goal of becoming an academic educator.
Birmingham Dubai’s impact
The support I’ve received has been excellent, from lecturers, the library, the IT team, and other University services. Everyone is approachable and committed to helping students succeed.
Advice for students
