Why Birmingham Dubai?

Pursuing an MBA was something I had wanted to do for a long time, but I knew I wanted to study at a recognised and highly respected business school. One of the biggest reasons I chose Birmingham Business School was its triple accreditation, which for me represented quality, credibility, and a globally recognised standard of education.

Another important factor was the part-time blended format. While I love the value of face-to-face learning, I also needed a programme that could fit around the demands of a full-time career. This MBA offered exactly that balance, giving me the opportunity to experience in-person learning while still providing the flexibility I needed.

Choosing to study in Dubai

Moving to Dubai has given me the opportunity to live and work in one of the world’s most dynamic and internationally connected cities. Dubai brings together professionals from diverse industries and backgrounds, creating an environment where learning extends far beyond the classroom.

Being here has allowed me to connect with people from around the world and gain exposure to different perspectives, which has been incredibly valuable both personally and professionally.

Why I chose to study an MBA

For me, studying for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) was about more than gaining another qualification. I wanted to broaden my understanding of business, strengthen my leadership skills, and challenge myself in new ways.

I was looking for a programme that combined academic excellence with real-world application, where I could immediately apply what I learned to my career. The Birmingham MBA aligned perfectly with those goals.

My Birmingham Dubai experience

One of the most rewarding parts of my experience so far has been learning alongside people from such diverse multinational backgrounds. Every class discussion brings new perspectives and experiences, which have genuinely expanded the way I think about business.

The University itself has also created an engaging and supportive environment, and I have found the overall experience both challenging and incredibly rewarding.

What stands out about the MBA programme

For me, the best part of the programme has been the lecturers. They are not only highly knowledgeable in their fields, but they are also genuinely passionate about what they teach. Their enthusiasm creates an engaging learning experience and keeps us motivated throughout the programme.

What I particularly value is how they tailor examples and discussions to our industries and experiences, making the content highly relevant and practical.

The in-person weekends are another highlight. They can be intense after a busy work week, but the quality of the discussions and learning experience makes them extremely worthwhile.

Birmingham Dubai's impact

Even after completing only a few modules, I have already been able to apply many of the concepts and ideas directly to my work. I have seen practical benefits in my professional life and gained insights that have made a meaningful difference in how I approach challenges and decision-making.

Having a programme that delivers immediate real-world impact has been one of the most valuable aspects of the MBA experience so far.
