The new University of Birmingham Dubai Campus located in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), a dedicated site hosting 25 international universities and colleges located in easy reach of the internationally renowned Dubai business district and 23 km from the centre of Dubai.  

DIAC is the world’s largest free zone dedicated solely to education and is already home to 24,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students from around the world representing more than 145 nationalities.

The scale of DIAC is remarkable, spread across a vast area of 20 million square feet, almost half of DIAC has been dedicated to the international higher education zone, while a further three million square feet is allocated to research and development centres; demonstrating a commitment to creating a truly vibrant academic community based on the highest standards of research and teaching.  

A further three million square feet is dedicated to providing outstanding student accommodation, sports, wellness and social facilities reflecting the importance given to providing diverse extracurricular opportunities and a supportive environment for students and the wider academic community. 

Dubai Campus

Phase 1

Our Phase 1 site opened late 2017 with our first students starting and teaching commencing in September 2018.

Phase 2

Opened in 2021, the University of Birmingham Dubai, occupies a prominent position at the heart of academic city.

This new campus will provide a blank canvas for innovative design that will showcase the best of sector and Birmingham in Dubai supporting a vibrant teaching end research environment.

Summary Terms and Conditions

The University will offer a competitive remuneration package (pay and benefits) for all staff working in Dubai.

Details will be based on a standard framework that is currently being finalised and will be available soon.

Depending on the situation, some key elements of the current proposed package are outlined below and full details will be confirmed prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
