About: This Economics Masterclass will address an important, topical issue - Brexit. We will begin by discussing the key economic advantages/disadvantages of EU membership in order to appreciate what the UK stands to lose or gain from Brexit. Students will then see how economists use economic models to weigh-up the balance of costs and benefits identified in turbulent polictical times. Finally, students will work in groups to evaluate the government's current negotiating position with the EU and find feasible ways to break the impasse in a way that is most beneficial to the UK economy.

Additional Information: Schools will be limited to 8 places for this class. Individual bookings can be made by students in Year 12. Please note you may not be allocated all the places you request depending on availability.
