Our Closing Reception will be hosted by Professor Robin Mason, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) who will introduce Cristina Cortes, Chief Operating Officer from Canning House.
International Relations extends a warm welcome to all staff, students and visitors to celebrate the close of the University of Birmingham's Brasil Week 2017 with a series of Brazilian music performances including Capoeira and percussion. Take this opportunity to meet and network with the Brazil engaged community here in Birmingham.

Cristina Cortes, Chief Operating Officer is a political economist with international commercial experience in government, finance and energy. Thirty years’ expertise in government relations, international business development, joint venture management, commercial negotiations and ethics & compliance.
The Brazilian Cultural Centre, based in Birmingham city Centre, is dedicated to the education and performance of arts and also to the Brazilian Portuguese language & Brazil's diverse cultural heritage and history. Their goal is to create awareness of Capoeira, a rich hybrid fight-like dance, dance-like fight, ritual, and way of life.
