SUMMARY:Workshop: Art to Communicate Sustainability
UID:www.birmingham.ac.uk/197606
DESCRIPTION:As we reflect on the Commonwealth Games, how can we harness the power of artwork to discuss society, culture and community? What could climate action, good health and wellbeing or peace and justice look like in an historic art collection?\n
Join Flora Kay, Learning & Engagement Manager and Jane Nicol, Nurse in Residence for a two hour in-gallery workshop. Using artwork as our lens, together we will explore the United National Sustainability Development Goals, making connections across the collection to activate and reflect on these themes.\n
All levels and abilities are welcome. This workshop is £2 per person, is open to anyone 18+ and will be held at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts. Limited spaces, so booking is essential.\n
 Access requirements\n
The main entrance to the Barber is accessed by 13 shallow steps, the galleries by a further 31 shallow steps. Level access is available. Please let your team know if you require this by calling 0121 414 7333 or emailing reception@barber.org.uk before your visit.\n
