Ignite the whole family’s curiosity and discover the high-tech future of transport at The Exchange this half term.

Monday 25 October

Discover the world of hydrogen powered vehicles with the University’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell team. Find out about the exciting future of green, carbon-free transport and have a go at operating a remoted controlled hydrogen car!

Tuesday 26 October

Meet the scientists from Tyseley Energy Park who are working on ways to make Birmingham greener, cleaner and healthier. Find out how hydrogen is made and why it’s good for our planet, and explore other green energy sources including solar and wind power. With guidance on hand, develop your engineering skills and take our Wind Power Challenge!

Wednesday 27 October

All aboard to meet the inventor behind HydroFLEX, the UK’s first mainline approved Hydrogen train! Get involved in hands-on activities exploring how hydrogen is made and find out about how HydroFLEX made it from the science lab to the train tracks.

Join award-winning storyteller Anna Comonos for an interactive session about the beauty of the natural world around us. The Tree of Life is a theatrical eco-extravaganza for all the family. Experience and explore the timeless and fragile relationship between humans and the natural world through dramatic role-play, theatrical characters and dynamic audience interaction! Suitable for children aged 3 years and upwards.

From a hydrogen train to a sci-fi forest, discover how the University is delivering clean air both here in Birmingham and around the world.
